The Link Between Supply and Demand

S.A.G. Solarstrom AG, Freiburg, plans, configures, installs, markets and operates photovoltaic systems of all sizes. The manufacturer-independent company was founded in 1998 and is considered one of the pioneers of the solar industry.

Since 1999, S.A.G. Solarstrom AG has been listed on the open market of the Munich stock exchange, followed by the switch to the M:access segment of the Munich stock exchange in 2005.

In 2008, S.A.G. reorganized itself into four business divisions. The sales division is home to project development and business with franchise or trading partners. In the newly created technology division, S.A.G. has bundled product development, project design, planning, assembly and quality control.

In the solar power plants division, S.A.G. operates its own solar power plants and produces green electricity. This also includes solar power plants in which S.A.G. owns a stake. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG’s power plants have an annual capacity of around 6 MWp, producing approximately 6 million KWh of electricity – entirely emission-free and therefore completely sustainable.

The fourth division is meteocontrol. This autonomous, specialized company covers the entire process chain from technical due diligence to yield reports, from construction supervision to the operation and monitoring of installations, and can draw on over 30 years of experience in this field.

meteocontrol also offers a comprehensive weather data management service - from weather and wind forecasts through to analyses for individual locations. The company evaluates weather data from over 14,000 weather stations worldwide.
